Darlene Murphy, Intern

Darlene Murphy is an intern completing her Master of Science in Counseling, bringing a deep well of experience and compassion to her work with clients. With advanced degrees including a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership, a Master of Arts in Elementary Education, and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, Darlene combines her extensive background in education with a strong foundation in mental health care.

She is certified as a Compassion Fatigue Educator and Practitioner and is a trained Field Traumatologist. Darlene has also completed specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and in supporting first responders, further enhancing her ability to serve individuals experiencing trauma, chronic stress, and burnout.

Darlene’s treatment philosophy is rooted in a client-centered, trauma-informed, and integrative approach. She draws from Reality Therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and solution-focused techniques to help clients build resilience, develop practical coping skills, and move toward meaningful change. Darlene is passionate about providing a safe and affirming space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered in their healing journey.
