Charlotte Milbert, MSW, Student
Charlotte Milbert is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work degree at Concord University and provides counseling services under the supervision of Savannah Halverson, LICSW. Charlotte’s approach to counseling is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and the belief that every person possesses strengths that can be used to create meaningful change. Grounded in respect for the inherent dignity and worth of every person, she is committed to providing a welcoming and nonjudgmental space for individuals from all backgrounds and walks of life. Drawing from strengths-based, person-centered, solution-focused, and cognitive behavioral approaches, Charlotte works alongside clients to identify strengths, develop practical coping strategies, build resilience, and move toward meaningful and achievable goals.
Born and raised in West Virginia, Charlotte understands the importance of community, perseverance, and connection while appreciating the unique experiences each person brings to the counseling relationship. As a Department of Defense Level I Certified Sexual Assault Victim Advocate (D-SAACP), credentialed through the National Organization for Victim Assistance (NOVA), she has spent more than 15 years supporting survivors of sexual trauma and providing crisis intervention during some of life’s most difficult moments. Her areas of focus include trauma, anxiety, grief, life transitions, caregiver stress, veterans and military populations, first responders, and personal growth. Charlotte believes meaningful change occurs when people recognize their strengths, build resilience, and reconnect with the values and purpose that give their lives meaning.
